Repair a worn pin hole

Tricks of the trade, Grinder for pin holes

Repair a worn pin hole.

Building up a worn pin hole with weld is easy; the difficult bit is grinding it out again. I have extended an angle grinder to take up to 8 discs, see picture. This works surprisingly well. The extension is easy to make if you have a lathe or I could make you one. Save your old worn discs for this purpose. The discs can be reduced in size by running them against another grinder, ie. two grinders required, both running, the disk to be reduced heled against the disc / stone of the other. All these grinding discs, including the small circle in this picture was originally a 9 inch grinding disc. I believe in getting the best value out of my stuff.
